We all like to make our own decisions and be in control of our lives. There could however be times in life when we become unable to make decisions or communicate our wishes for daily life matters or care.
An Advance Care Directive is an important mechanism that ensures our wishes are documented and enacted.
Having an Advance Care Directive can make it easier for others to know and act upon your wishes if they are required to make decisions for you. It can also give you peace of mind that your wishes will be known and respected if you cannot make these decisions yourself.
A representative from the Legal Services Commission SA will be presenting an information session at Alwyndor on Wednesday 8 November from 2pm-3pm. All community clients are invited to attend.
