Heart Foundations 'Active Australia Innovation Challenge' Winner
Alwyndor has been announced as one of eight winners to receive a grant for the Heart Foundation's 2018 Active Australia Innovation Challenge. With more
then 130 submissions coming from all around Australia, shortlisted applicants were given the opportunity to refine and pitch their ideas before eight
winners were decided.
Alwyndor's winning innovative idea is to expand exercise engagement with virtual reality. The grant will be used to buy a recumbent cross trainer and virtual-reality
headset. The headset will be programmed to display mountainsides, village squares, flowers and birds to provide greater motivation for elderly people
to use the equipment, turning exercise from a chore into a digital experience.
