Alwyndor's Privacy Policy

At Alwyndor we take your privacy very seriously. Please read this privacy policy carefully, as it contains important information about who we are and how and why we collect, store, use, and share your personal information. It also explains your rights in relation to your personal information and how to contact us or supervisory authorities in the event you have a complaint.

We collect, use and are responsible for certain personal information about you. When we do so we are subject to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017 (NDB) scheme, and we are responsible as ‘controller’ of that personal information for the purposes of those laws.

The Aged Care Act 2024, section 23 (Statement of Rights) also requires that we respect the older person’s privacy and protect their personal information

Any new personal information you give to us – for example, on each occasion you receive services from us – may be added to our records. You do not have to give us the information we request from you. Alwyndor does not accept responsibility for the security of information transmitted to or from us via the internet. Subject to our legal obligations, we do not retain personal information any longer than necessary and we de-identify or dispose of it appropriately when it is no longer required.

Where is your information kept?

Personal information kept by Alwyndor is located within Australia; in printed form is stored in a secure premises; in electronic form, it is held in secure storage systems requiring login details and passwords. Access to personal information is limited to those who specifically require it to conduct their responsibilities.

What are your rights?

You have the right to access your personal information and request its correction. Please contact us using the contact details at the end of this document if you wish to view and/or correct any personal information we hold about you. For security reasons, a written request may be required to access your personal information. We are committed to granting you access to your personal information within a reasonable time frame. We will not refuse you access unless there are legal reasons for doing so. In such circumstances, we will explain those reasons to you.
