Visiting hours
Alwyndor is open for visitors between the following times:
- Monday to Friday: 9.30am - 6pm
- Weekends: Enter via Dunrobin Rd main entrance only. Customer Care reception will not be staffed on weekends or public holidays but we ask that all visitors continue to register via the self-check-in stations at reception
Note: These opening hours may change at short notice if impacted by restrictions due to COVID or other illnesses. Please see COVID updates.

New check-in system -Zipline
A new check-in system will be in place from Monday, 27 June 2022.
There will be customer service staff on hand to assist with the new check-in system.
Visitor check-ins are compulsory and the Zipline system will allow us to do this more efficiently.
This will ensure all visitors to Alwyndor are compliant with government-mandated regulations and will help us remain a safe place for our residents, staff, and community as a whole.
Steps to check-in:
- When you arrive at Alwyndor, follow these simple steps on the Zipline device which will be located inside the main entrance.
- Stand in front of the Zipline check-in device.
- Follow the instructions on the screen and position yourself to automatically have your temperature recorded.
- Follow the prompts and type in your phone number and your name.
- Collect the visitor sticker printed by the Zipline machine and scan the QR code at the check-in device.
- When leaving, simply check out on the same device.
Pre-booking
If you would like to prebook before visiting, please have the following ready to upload to the online portal:
- 2022 flu vaccination
- Covid-19 vaccination
- Negative COVID-19 test.

Visitor requirements in response to COVID-19
- Surgical masks to be worn when in open areas, N95 is preferred and we can provide these on request, they may be removed when 1:1 visiting with your loved one.
- A Rapid Antigen Test (negative) on each visit, please show your evidence at customer care on arrival (if required we can provide the RAT)
- General health and COVID-19 questions will be asked at sign-in, along with questions in relation to recent travel.
- Temperature checking and sign-in and sign-out protocols will be required.
- You must have evidence of your 2022 Influenza vaccination with you. This applies to anyone over 6 months of age*
- You must have proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations (such as your certificate or medical record)*
*If you have a valid exemption from your medical practitioner please provide at customer care.
Cafe opening hours
Dorothy's Café, located inside the main entrance at Alwyndor, provides the perfect place to take a break and enjoy a coffee.
The café offers a range of drinks and snacks including iced lattés and toasted croissants.
Dorothy’s Café is open from 8.30am to 3pm on weekdays and from 9.30am to 3pm on Saturdays.
