27 June 2022 Health & Wellbeing
Please read the update regarding our COVID-19 outbreak – we now have 19 confirmed resident cases in Alandale, MSU, and in short-stay. The families of all impacted residents have been notified.
These areas, Alandale, MSU, and in short-stay, are classified as ‘red zones’ and will be in lockdown for at least seven (7) days. For the duration of these lockdowns we will have a Partners in Care approach in place for two (2) visitors for each resident. This increases from our previous approach of one (1) nominated visitor per resident. Please let us know your nominated visitors via return email or by calling Customer Care on 8177 3200. Please note that any end-of-life care needs will be negotiated separately with families.
Visitors to all red zones will be required as per current practice to undertake a Rapid Antigen Test, showing the result at reception and to wear (don) PPE ie masks, face shields, and gowns – all of which will be available at the entrance to each area. Exit and removal (doffing) of PPE procedures will be communicated within the area.
- Partners in Care - Whilst we have our new automated check-in system at Reception, please check in manually with the Customer Care staff to enable us to monitor red zone visitors.
- All other visitors to Alwyndor residential are not impacted at this time. Rapid Antigen Testing as well as wearing masks continue to be mandatory.
As a part of managing the outbreak, ClinPath will once again be onsite every 48 hours offering PCR tests to all residents, whilst this is optional we strongly encourage all residents to have this test.
The Covid-19 vaccination clinic scheduled for this Friday 1 July has been moved to next Friday 8 July. All residents who have signed up have been notified.
We will keep you updated throughout the coming week and thank you for your support for Alwyndor as we continue to work to keep your loved ones as safe as we can. As always please feel free to contact Customer Care on 8177 3200 or email email@example.com
Thank you for your continued support as we work through this outbreak
