Alandale was named in honour of Alfred Alan, Dorothy's younger brother. Alandale provides 18 rooms that have been specially designed to cater for those with a diagnosis of cognitive impairment and offer a safe, secure and happy environment. Those who reside in this area are provided with plenty of cognitive stimulation through an array of sensory and tactile group activities, as well as one-on-one time. Alandale is surrounded by private garden areas that overlook Alwyndor's outstanding large garden, golfing green and Men’s Shed.
